Coach Jackson Hyland was born and raised in Kennett Square, PA. As the youngest of three boys, sports and competition was always at the forefront of the household.
Jackson attended Kennett High School & West Chester University where he became a Captain and a 1000-point scorer at both schools. After graduating with a degree in Marketing from WCU, Jackson played professional basketball overseas in Plymouth, England.
Not being content with keeping this accumulated knowledge to himself, teaching and mentoring the next generation is his biggest passion.
As a high schooler, Jackson coached kids for his local YMCA along with Kennett Blue Demon camps & clinics. As a collegiate student-athlete, he trained young athletes around the community and served as a counselor for over 15+ camps. While overseas Jackson coached a British Basketball youth team that competed in events all throughout England.
Upon returning to the States, as the pandemic hit, Hyland started “HyIQ Basketball”. His mission is to give back to the community and to provide athletes with opportunities that had not existed while he was growing up in the area.
